Across the United States, forgotten trains lay dormant in the most unexpected places—rusting away in secluded fields, hidden in collapsing barns, and decaying along deserted tracks. Their variety is staggering: from once-bustling commuter trains to elusive steam engines and rusted out freight locomotives.
Each has it’s own story of how it arrived where it is, and those stories are often far more strange than you’d imagine.
They’re fascinating artifacts, both hard to find yet ripe for photographic experimentation.
This ongoing series has taken me to 44 states, and three countries (so far).
