NYC Rooftops

I love rooftops. NYC just looks so much more interesting from high up sometimes, and it’s an angle of the city that is rarely seen. This is due of course to local laws and/or lawsuit-paranoid building owners who restrict roof access to everyone – even tenants of the building. Needless to say, just getting on any one of NYC’s high rise rooftops is an accomplishment in and of itself. It’s also an awesome experience. There’s something quite surreal in being extremely high above the city, exposed to the elements, and alone with yourself or a few friends. It’s strangely quiet, and mildly thrilling.
